Barbara Autry recently joined the Okefenokee Technical College staff as the instructor for the Early Childhood Care and Education program.

Mrs. Autry has 30 years of experience as an early childhood teacher and has held the positions of Family Service Coordinator of the Babies Can’t Wait Program and a trainer for the Resource and Referral Agency.

She holds a BS from Auburn University and a masters degree from Valdosta State University. She is a member of NAEYC, a professional organization supporting the education of young children.

A resident of Blackshear, Mrs. Autry is a member of the Pierce County Chamber of Commerce and the First United Methodist Church of Blackshear. She and her husband Stephen have two daughters and one granddaughter.
