Judge Michael Boggs Joins OTC Foundation Board

The Honorable Judge Michael P. Boggs was recently selected to serve as a member of the Okefenokee Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees. Superior Court Judge Boggs serves on the Waycross Judicial Circuit, which serves Bacon, Brantley, Charlton Coffee, Pierce and Ware counties. “Judge Boggs has been a good friend to OTC over the years,” states OTC President Gail Thaxton, “and we are pleased that he has joined our Board.” Judge Michael Boggs

As a Georgia State Representative for the 168th District (2000 – 2004), Boggs was instrumental in helping Okefenokee Tech secure funding for the new Allied Health Building/Library for the Waycross Campus. His support for education and this community is evident through his service and active membership on multiple civic and community boards/organizations.

The OTC Foundation Trustees serve as advisors in the advancement of the college, planning and implementing resource development activities. The Foundation focuses on raising funds for scholarships, program equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, capital funds projects, and other emerging and existing academic initiatives and priorities that help students be successful. Larry Paulk serves as the Chair of the Foundation Trustees.
