Dr. Gail Thaxton and Misty HendersonOkefenokee Technical College student Misty Henderson (right) was recently awarded the Spring 2008 Brooksie A. Pike Scholarship for excelling in the OTC cosmetology program. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be full-time cosmetology students entering their final quarter at Okefenokee Technical College with a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average and excellent quarterly work ethics grades.

Two Brooksie A. Pike Scholarships are awarded each year to outstanding cosmetology students at Okefenokee Tech. The OTC Foundation would like to thank Dr. John Pike and Penny Pike for establishing this scholarship fund.
