Christine L. Whitley recently joined the Okefenokee Technical College
staff as the psychology instructor. She holds a Master
in Industrial Psychology from Neuchatel, Switzerland.
Mrs.
Whitley previously was a part-time psychology instructor at
Waycross College. Prior to her move to Georgia, she worked
in the field of migration and humanitarian assistance for
various organizations in Geneva including Camarada, a center
for exiled women and their children, Ingenieurs du Monde,
NGO, The UNESCO Chair of Casablanca dedicated to migration
and human rights, and NOROIS, public foundation dedicated
to the electronic gap reduction.
Mrs. Whitley said, “I came to Georgia from Switzerland
about a year ago. I decided to stay here for the legendary
Southern hospitality and for the deep sense of community
that I could experience in Waycross. My husband is originally
from Douglas, and we live in Waycross.”
