Ware Employees Graduate from OTC


Ware County employees Heather Bryan (front, L to R), Public Works Office Manager; David Thrift, Ware County Fireman; Shirley Gardner (back, L to R), Appraiser 1; Angela Shulman, Appraiser 1; Dell Brown, Building Inspector; Scott Brantley, Ware County Fireman; and Diane Lee, Business License\Codes Clerk, will graduate from Okefenokee Technical College June 2009 with a technical certificate of credit in Computer Applications.

The cohort has been attending OTC classes together since April 2008 to enhance and upgrade their computer skills. A Computer Applications certificate requires successful completion of the following classes: Introduction to Microcomputers, Database Fundamentals, Spreadsheet Fundamentals, and Comprehensive Word Processing and Presentation Graphics.

“I have worked with many students,” stated Laree Thomas, OTC computer technology instructor, “and I have to say that this was an exceptionally good group. Ware County is fortunate to have such dedicated employees.”
