Adult Education Students Recognized

Each quarter, students in the Adult Education Program at Okefenokee Technical College who are working toward their GED exam receive certificates of completion for mastering specific academic levels. Lawrence Gifford (back, L to R), Victor Adult Education StudentsDaniels, Sedrick Conner, John Hardy, Randall Smart, Jason Manning, Cheik Sy, Anthony Young (front, L to R), Glenda Gifford, Kelsey Williams, Tiffany Marshall, Brooke Gunter, Xiomara Killingbeck, Rebekah Holland, Michelle McNair, Kayla Newbern, Aneisha Fluker, Portia Prince, and Makkia Ross (not in photo) were present for the certificate awards at the end of the quarter. Many of these students completed one or more levels of literacy as they continue to work toward their goal of preparing for the General Education Development (GED) diploma. Ms. Cathy Daniels, Ware County Adult Education instructor, and several other staff members organized a recognition ceremony for the students in appreciation for their hard work. Several candidates have completed parts of their GED exams and will be taking the rest of their exams in October. Several of these and some others have also completed or are making plans to complete their work ready assessments.
