Bennett Supports Foundation Event & Invites Others To Attend

OTC Foundation Chair Larry Paulk, Wilbur James Tire and Battery Service owner Neal Bennett, and OTC President Gail Thaxton exchanged friendly banter recently about who would win the $5,000 grand prize Saturday night. Bennett is shown giving Paulk a $200 check for a ticket to the foundation’s 1st Annual Gritz & Glitz Gala, which will be held at the depot in downtown Waycross Saturday, June 21st.

The $5,000 big check, along with the “real check,” will be presented to the winning ticket holder the night of the event. “We have great prizes and auction items,” stated foundation director Cindy Tanner, “including newspaper advertising spots, deck furniture, a three-night stay at a mountain house that overlooks two beautiful waterfalls, tennis lessons, delicious grilling steaks, and personal fitness lessons.” Foundation Donation

According to Tanner, proceeds from the gala will benefit OTC students through academic scholarships, financial assistance grants, and recognition programs. “We sincerely appreciate all of the community support for this event,” stated Thaxton, who also thanked Bennett for his gift and investment in OTC students and programs.
Thaxton and Paulk invite everyone to attend the gala. Rhythm Oil will provide music for dancing and entertainment, and terrific food and beverages will be available throughout the evening. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Please call Cindy Tanner at (912) 287-5829 for details.
