Judge Sam Edgar Joins OTC Foundation Board

The Honorable Sam Edgar, State Court Judge of Bacon County, was recently named to the Okefenokee Technical College Foundation Board of Trustees.
Edgar is with the Law Firm of William J. “Sam” Edgar in Alma. He has been an attorney in Alma since 1984 and has practiced in the following courts: Bacon, Coffee, Ware, Pierce, Brantley, Charlton, Appling, Jeff Davis, and Wayne.
Edgar is a 1977 graduate of Bacon County High School, a 1981 graduate of Valdosta State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a 1984 graduate of the University of North Carolina Law School with a Juris Doctorate.Judge Sam Edgar

“We are very pleased to have Judge Edgar on the Board, and we look forward to working with him to advance the work of the foundation and college,” stated OTC President Gail Thaxton.

The OTC Foundation Trustees serve as advisors in the advancement of the college, planning and implementing resource development activities. The Foundation focuses on raising funds for scholarships, program equipment, state-of-the-art facilities, capital funds projects, and other emerging and existing academic initiatives and priorities that help students be successful. Jay Williams, of Jay’s IGA, also represents Bacon County on the OTC Foundation Board.
