A group of Ware County High School educators visited the Okefenokee Technical College Waycross Campus on fall quarter’s Campus Tour Day held November 15, 2007. The group enjoyed presentations by OTC students and instructors. They also received information about course requirements, salary ranges, and job opportunities relevant to the many programs available at the college.

Some of the instructional areas visited during the tour included Surgical Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiologic Technology, Medical Assisting Technology, Automotive Technology, Automotive Collision Repair Technology, Cosmetology, Computer Information Systems, and Welding Technology.

Upon their arrival, Dr. Thaxton welcomed the guests to the campus and encouraged them to ask questions and look carefully at program curriculum and length. Charlie Gibson, Director of Career Placement and Development, led the group on their tour.  

The Okefenokee Technical College faculty, staff and students invite everyone to visit the Waycross Campus on the next tour day, Thursday, February 7, 2008.
