Okefenokee Technical College Electrical Lineworker Class Graduates

 

The first class of the new Electrical Lineworker Apprenticeship (ELA) program at Okefenokee Technical College recently completed all of the requirements for graduation.  The ELA program provides skills and training necessary to become qualified as a lineworker for utility companies.  Upon completion of the program,Lineworker Class the graduates were interviewed by Georgia Power, Okefenoke EMC, Pike Electric, Coastal EMC, and JEA. The Electrical Lineman Apprenticeship program accepts students each quarter, and the eight-week program is covered by the HOPE Grant for qualified individuals.  Contact the Economic Development Division at 912-285-6474 for additional information.
