Hollee Elliott Receives SunTrust Scholarship for OTC       

Sam Wiley, Vice President of SunTrust Bank, recently presented Hollee Elliott, a 2007 Ware County High School graduate, with an award check. Elliott is the recipient of the 2007 SunTrust Scholarship for Okefenokee Technical College. She excelled academically at WCHS and participated in many clubs. She was a member of the National Honor Society, the Beta Club, the Art Club, the Future Business Leaders of America, and the Anchor Club. In addition to earning Sam Wiley and Hollee Elliottnumerous awards in high school, she also deserves accolades for supporting the community through her volunteer activities, such as helping with blood drives, Christmas in April, Habitat for Humanity, and the Special Olympics. As a student leader, she held the following offices: Vice President of FBLA, President of Anchor Club, and Southeast Region Chair for Anchor Club. Elliott is pursuing a degree in welding at OTC, while also working toward other educational goals. Her long-term goal is to own a business where she displays and sells art.
